Chrysi leads the microbiome standardisation programme at the MHRA, overseeing 18 WHO-endorsed projects. She developed the 1st WHO International DNA Reference Reagents for microbiome analysis and her research focuses on the microbiome's role in antimicrobial resistance, cancer immunotherapies, vaginal infections, and drug-microbiome interactions. Through her work and involvement in national and international expert groups Chrysi aims to drive innovation and bridge gaps between research, industry, and regulation.
