Wilbert has over 25 years of experience in Nutrition, Health and Innovation, spanning industry and academia, including Nestlé, dsm-firmenich, Wageningen University, EPFL, and Balgrist University Hospital Zürich. His expertise covers probiotics, prebiotics, postbiotics, fermented food and bacteriophages. In 2021, he founded Microbiome Solutions GmbH, a Swiss consultancy supporting organisations and investors in microbiome innovation. He co-founded Yoba for Life Foundation, teaches Food Biotechnology at EPFL, has co-authored 75+ scientific papers, and serves as NutraIngredients Awards jury member.
