Holding a PhD in molecular microbiology, Bernard joined Nestlé Research in 2001. He has more than two decades of experience in industry, investigating the links between nutrition, microbiome & health, and translating scientific discoveries into nutritional concepts for commercial applications. Bernard has >65 peer-reviewed publications and is co-author of the first publication of a Bifidobacterium genome [PNAS 2002, 99(22)] and the first publication of a Lactobacillus genome [PNAS 2004, 101(8)]. He is consultant for Nestlé businesses.
