After earning his MSc degree in Industrial and Environmental Biotechnology at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Simon is pursuing a PhD at the University of Lausanne in the group of Prof. Pascale Vonaesch. His research focuses in microbial metagenomics and bioinformatic analysis of complex microbiomes. His doctoral work investigates the digestive tract microbiota of malnourished and healthy children.
