Wilbert has been active in the Nutrition, Health and Innovation industry for over 20 years. Wilbert’s main expertise relates to development and commercialization of probiotics, prebiotics, fermented foods and other microbiome modulating ingredients. In October 2021, Wilbert founded Microbiome Solutions GmbH in Switzerland, a consultancy firm serving organisations in end-to-end innovation and value creation in the human microbiome area. In 2009, Wilbert co-founded Yoba for Life, a public-benevolent-institute, that enables people living in resource-poor communities in East-Africa to make and sell their own probiotic yoghurt. Wilbert is also board member of Crispatus Foundation and teaches at EPFL in Lausanne.
